Mears makes homecare contract updateCommunity Care Market News - The social housing operator Mears Group, which entered the homecare market just over two years ago, has today (6 July) announced that it has picked up two new contracts with a combined value of £6m. In a move which the group claims takes its domiciliary care division to a delivery total of 90,000 hours of homecare each week, Mears will provide services to the London borough of Richmond for the next four years and across Doncaster metropolitan borough council for the next two years. The volume of the two contracts adds 3,200 hours per week to the Mears' portfolio of work. Justin Merritt (06/07/2009)
