Last chance for Neath Port Talbot in-house homecare
With plans for outsourcing its residential care provision currently on the backburner thanks to public discord (CCMN July 2010), councillors at Neath
Port Talbot have turned their attention to community care policies starting with a major review of homecare services rolling out over the three months.
In an announcement made last month the council said that it has agreed in principle to fully integrate a range of community services in order to improve
provision including intermediate care, homecare, district nursing and specialist therapies. The move will see the council’s social services department
working closely with the Abertawa Bro Morgannwg University Health Board.
