The night they raided Minsky's
A raid on the Hampshire care home Linford Park Nursing Homes, Ringwood, in late July resulted in the detention of 13 members of staff and the arrest of four people.
The UK Border Agency and Hampshire police said that the exercise was carried out to target ‘immigration offenders working illegally’. The carers taken away by the agency came from a variety of countries including Ghana and the Philippines. An inspection by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) carried out in February 2010 awarded the home one star. Hampshire council said that as accusations of neglect were also be investigated it is finding alternative accommodation for residents.
