LNT picks Orchard’s fallen fruit
The LNT group has added a further five care homes to the portfolio operated by its business Ideal Care Homes with the news that it has taken back facilities which it had previously rented to Orchard Care Homes.
In consolidating properties it already owned, the move adds 273 beds to the provider’s capacity which has been growing at some speed in recent months thanks to a keen focus from owner Lawrence Tomlinson, who since securing a £67m funding package in late 2009 (CCMN December 2009/January 2010) and selling off the business sales agent GLP Taylor to Jones Lang LaSalle (CCMN March 2010) has set his mind to building Ideal into a bigger presence in the North of the country.
